Privacy policy

Last updated: 28 August 2026 Effective date: 28 August 2026

Pixelette is a brand operated by Shasan Industrial Tech, Girgaon, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400004, India (GSTIN: 27GUIPS5375A1ZA). In this policy, "Pixelette", "we", "us" and "our" refer to Shasan Industrial Tech.

We make personalised diamond painting kits. To do that, we handle photographs you send us, along with the ordinary information needed to take payment and deliver a parcel. This policy explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

We sell and ship within India only. For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"), Shasan Industrial Tech is the Data Fiduciary responsible for your personal data.

By using our Services, you acknowledge that you have read this policy.

1. What this policy covers

This policy applies to:

  • pixelette.shop — our online store, hosted by Shopify
  • create.pixelette.shop — the kit activation app, where you enter your code and upload your photograph
  • WhatsApp and email — when you contact us at +91-8591967891 or hello@pixelette.shop, including when you send a photograph for a free style preview
  • Our social media accounts — Instagram and YouTube, when you message or comment

Together we call these the "Services".

2. Photographs and uploaded content

This is the part of our business that involves the most sensitive information, so we have set it out first and in plain terms.

What we collect

To generate the pattern for your kit, we collect photographs and images that you:

  • upload through create.pixelette.shop after entering your activation code, or
  • send to us on WhatsApp or by email when you request a free style preview

Photographs frequently show identifiable people, including children, and may reveal information about your family, relationships, religion, health or other personal circumstances. We treat them accordingly.

What we do with them

We use your photographs only to:

  • generate the colour-mapped pattern and instruction PDF for your kit
  • produce the preview images you asked for
  • provide customer support, for example if your pattern needs to be regenerated

What we do not do with them

  • We do not sell your photographs.
  • We do not share them with advertisers, data brokers, or marketing partners.
  • We do not use your photograph, your preview, or your finished pattern on our website, in advertising, on social media, or in any other marketing unless you give us separate, specific written permission. Uploading a photograph to get your pattern is not permission to publish it.
  • We do not use your photographs to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models.

If we ever want to feature your work, we will ask you first, and you can say no without it affecting your order.

How long we keep them

Item Retention period
Original photograph you upload Deleted 90 days after your pattern PDF is generated, or 90 days after upload if no pattern is generated
Generated pattern and instruction PDF Kept for 24 months so we can reissue it if you lose it
Photographs sent for a WhatsApp preview Deleted 30 days after we send you the preview
Preview images we send back to you Deleted 30 days after sending

You can ask us to delete any of these sooner. Email hello@pixelette.shop with your kit code or order number and we will delete them within 30 days and confirm when it is done.

Photographs of other people

If you upload a photograph showing someone other than yourself, you confirm that you have their permission to do so. If the photograph shows a child, you confirm that you are the child's parent or legal guardian, or that you have their parent's or guardian's permission.

If you believe a photograph of you or your child has been uploaded without permission, contact hello@pixelette.shop and we will remove it.

WhatsApp previews

When you send us a photograph on WhatsApp, that message passes through WhatsApp's systems before it reaches us. WhatsApp is operated by Meta and processes your data under its own privacy policy, which we do not control. If you would rather not use WhatsApp, you can email your photograph to hello@pixelette.shop instead.

3. Other information we collect

Information you give us

  • Activation details — your kit code and the preset options you select

  • Reviews — any review text or photographs of your finished board that you choose to publish

Payment information

Card and payment details are collected and processed directly by Shopify Payments and our other payment providers. We do not see, store or have access to your full card number. We receive only confirmation of payment, the last four digits, and the card type.

  • From our service providers, such as Shopify and Shiprocket, in the course of processing your order
  • From payment providers, confirming that a payment succeeded or failed

7. Our relationship with Shopify

Our store is hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes information about your visit in order to run and improve the store. Information you submit is transmitted to Shopify and may be processed outside India.

We also use certain Shopify enhanced features that draw on data from your interactions with our store and with other merchants. For these features, Shopify is responsible for processing your personal data and for responding to requests about it. You can read the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and exercise related rights through the Shopify Privacy Portal.

8. How long we keep your information

Photographs and patterns are covered in section 2. For everything else:

Category Retention period

Published reviews and review photographs Until you ask us to remove them

Where we are required to keep records by law, we will retain the minimum necessary for that purpose even after you request deletion, and we will tell you if this applies.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS across pixelette.shop and create.pixelette.shop), access controls limiting who on our team can view uploaded photographs, and reliance on Shopify's PCI-DSS compliant payment infrastructure so that card data never reaches our systems.

No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send us sensitive information such as passwords or full card numbers by email or WhatsApp.

If a data breach occurs, we will notify the Data Protection Board of India and every affected person as required under the DPDP Act. Our notification will describe what happened, what data was involved, and what you should do.

10. Children

Our kits contain small parts and are intended for older children and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from anyone under 18.

We recognise that adults frequently upload photographs of children to create kits as gifts and keepsakes. If you do this, you confirm that you are the child's parent or guardian, or have their permission. We will not use a photograph containing a child for marketing under any circumstances.

We do not use children's personal data for behavioural advertising or tracking. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data directly, contact hello@pixelette.shop and we will delete it.

11. Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep your cart working, remember your preferences, understand how the site is used, and measure our advertising.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling essential cookies will break checkout.

12. Where your data is processed

We are based in India and sell only within India. However, some of the service providers we rely on operate outside India, so your personal data may be stored or processed in other countries — including Singapore, the United States and Canada.

The kit activation app and the photographs uploaded to it are hosted in Singapore.

Wherever your data is processed, this policy and our obligations under the DPDP Act continue to apply, and we require our service providers to protect it to the same standard.

13. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you have the following rights in relation to your personal data. These rights are not absolute, and in some cases we may decline a request where the law permits.

  • Access — ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, including a list of who we have shared it with
  • Correction — ask us to correct data that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date
  • Deletion — ask us to delete your data, including any photographs you have uploaded
  • Withdraw consent — withdraw consent to marketing, or to our processing of your photographs, at any time. Withdrawing consent to photograph processing after your pattern has been generated will not undo the pattern already produced
  • Grievance redressal — raise a complaint with us about how we have handled your data, using the details in section 14
  • Nominate — nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf if you die or become incapacitated

To make a request, email hello@pixelette.shop with the subject line "Data request". We may need to verify your identity first. We will respond within 30 days.

We will not treat you differently or refuse you service for exercising these rights.

15. Third-party links

Our Services link to sites we do not control, including Instagram, YouTube and WhatsApp. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. Review their policies before sharing information with them.

16. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. We will post the updated version here and change the "Last updated" date. If the changes are material — for example, a new use of your photographs — we will notify you by email before they take effect.
